How is pricing calculated?
Most local moves are quoted flat-rate based on home size, distance, and access (stairs, elevators, long carries). You'll receive that number in writing before your move date — it won't change on move day unless the scope does.
Do you offer student and dorm move discounts?
Yes. We run student pricing for dorm and campustown apartment moves, especially around fall and spring lease turnover dates. Ask for the student rate when you request your quote.
Are you licensed and insured?
Lane & Jaxon Moving Co. is fully licensed, bonded, and insured for local moves, with coverage documentation available on request before booking.
What if something is damaged during the move?
It's rare, but if it happens, our claims process is straightforward — you'll work directly with our team, not a call center, and most claims are resolved within days.
Do I need to provide boxes or packing materials?
No — we can supply boxes, tape, and wrapping materials as part of our packing assistance service, or you're welcome to pack yourself and we'll handle the loading and transport.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is ideal, especially during peak turnover season in May and August. We do accommodate shorter-notice moves when a crew is available.
